Zany Performance Art

This class invites a zany, winding, non threatening way to discover your voice in  movement,  words and character. Through a variety of fun body and voice warmups we wake up a non literal collage of  possibilities to craft aspects of yourself you did not even know you had. We create a supportive community to risk being seen in all our shyness and glory.  

Wild Heart Dance & Theater

For young people who want to discover themselves through movement dance, theater and writing.
We explore a range of dance from modern, to African, to improvisation and free movement. We get playful; and serious. We make things up. We try on each other’s movements. We learn  new moves.  We dance slow and fast, big and small, quiet and gentle, timid and bold! We play with characters inside us that have their own way of moving. We will dance to poems we write. We learn to trust our impulses, to rest, to be wild.

Authentic Movement as Source and Resource

Authentic movement is a meditative movement practice where there is always a witness and an eyes-closed mover. It offers a rich resource to artists , choreographers, therapists contemplatives and anyone interested in learning more about themselves through movement. These  workshops offer a safe way to explore and integrate the mysterious and diverse expression of your inner landscape.

Mapping Presence: an Expressive Arts and Somatic Practices Workshop

In this workshop we ground ourselves through guided mindful body-centered meditation, then explore in the expressive arts of drawing, writing and moving. You don’t have to be an “Artist” here - all you need is an interest in understanding yourself and the world through these right-brain modes of communication. Great care is given to creating a safe container for meeting and sharing what is present in us.
